disposable

for the past few weeks, i have been taking pictures with disposable cameras. i just got them developed and i can not stop smiling. they are so much more fun/lovely/interesting than any picture i have ever taken with a digital camera. really!

the last time i used a disposable was probably five years ago. or so. but i think it's pretty safe to say that i will always be carrying one from now on.

spring day

the emilys and i went to brunch today at spitzer's (of course) and then strolled and strolled and shopped around soho. today was the first day of spring for me (as i have missed all of the other spring days being in my office) and it felt wonderful.

i must remind myself that i can not buy vintage clothing that looks like a costume. as pretty as it may look, i will never wear it.

things we do

whenever we pass them, my boyfriend and i buy the little critters from the 25-cent machines on the street. animals, jewelry, homies, etc. we put them up on the shelf in my building's staircase (at the second floor) to see how long it takes before someone notices/takes. usually they are gone within a few days. a miley cyrus heart charm stayed on the shelf for an exceptionally long time. three-ish weeks.

the first one we got was a little pig in brooklyn. the very first week that we met. smile.

but, really, who is taking them?

fries + mayo

it used to be some sort of egg dish, but my current brunch staples are a plate of french fries (with mayo) and an endless cup of coffee. a special treat if the restaurant has cheese fries. divine.

lovebird

after venturing over to chelsea last night to an art gallery with ben and jacqueline (who is visiting from germany!), we saw that the sidewalk was cracked perfectly in the shape of a bird. peculiar.
